ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondent.

2.The writ petitioner was appointed as management consultant for implementing the smart city project for Tirunelveli corporation. As per the agreement between the parties, the petitioner has to be paid a sum of Rs.6,58,580/- per month as consultancy fee. The petitioner had worked for the respondents from August 2021 till 12.07.2022. A simple arithmetic calculation shows that the petitioner has to be paid a sum of Rs.94,33,250/-. The grievance of the petitioner is that not even single paisa has been paid so far. Hence, this writ petition was filed.

3.Notice was issued to the respondent. The respondent had entered appearance through their counsel and frankly and fairly stated that the figure quoted in the writ petition is not in dispute. Therefore, the respondent is directed to pay the petition mentioned amount to the petitioner without a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
