ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mrs.Vijayakumari Natarajan, Advocate for the Petitioners and of M/s. V. 2/4
Nagendran, Advocate for the respondents, this Court made the following order: "The appeal suit was disposed of based on the compromise whereby, the petitioners were directed to pay Rs.1,90,00,000/- and the time period was fixed as 02.05.2024. However, the petitioner could not adhere to the scheduled time. Thereafter, the petitioner had paid the same in two installments and completed the same. The final payment was made on 14.10.2024. The respondents are entitled to interest for the period from 02.05.2024 to 14.10.2024. Therefore, a further sum of Rs.10,000/- shall be paid by the petitioners to the respondents as interest for the belated period (from May to October). The said Rs.10,000/- shall be paid within a period of fifteen days.
2.Accordingly, this petition is closed."
