ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandaumus, directing the respondents to grant one permit on the route from 1/4

Chathiram Bus Stand to Keelakalkandarkottai based on the petitioner's application, dated 27.03.2025, as per the Notification, G.O.Ms.No.33, Home (Transport-I), dated 23.01.2025.

2.The contention of the petitioner is that he has applied for the said route and along with him more than 30 persons have participated for the said route. This is evident from the Trichy District Government Gazette No.11, dated 18-02-2025. In the said list of participants, the petitioner's name is in Serial No.

12. The contention of the petitioner is that the respondents have issued G.O.Ms.No.33, Home (Transport-I), dated 23.01.2025 along with Annexure Rule

47. In the said annexure, it has been stated that minimum two permits shall be permitted to each route.

3.In the present case, the respondents have permitted only one person namely, R.K.Srinivasan. It is seen that the respondents have conducted lot method and selected the said R.K.Srinivasan.

4.Hence, the contention of the petitioner is that for each route two permits shall be granted. If one permit is given to the said R.K.Srinivasan, the petitioner is entitled to be considered for another permit. 2/4

5.Therefore, the respondents are directed to reconsider the petitioner's application, dated 27.03.2025, as per G.O.Ms.No.33, Home (Transport-I), dated 23.01.2025 and pass orders on or before 15.06.2025. 6.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
