The case of the petitioner is that the second respondent has acquired certain lands for the purpose of construction of a Dam across Virudhupatti Odai under Kullunsandai Reservoir Scheme, including her mother's land, namely, Kuppamal. For the said acquisition, a compensation amount was awarded. Being dissatisfied with the compensation awarded, the petitioner's mother along with other persons submitted a representation before the respondents. Subsequently, she made a representation dated 18.08.2017 before the first respondent, requesting to re-determine the amount of compensation already awarded, in the light of the award enhanced in LAOP No.1 of 2014 dated 27.02.2016.
