ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed directing the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1087 of 2019 dated 14.07.2019 on the file of the respondent police and file a final report.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a law college student and he went to the condolence of one Indhuraja. During the funeral ceremony, the accused persons attacked the petitioner. Thus, the petitioner was sustained grievous injuries. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint and F.I.R. was also registered in Crime No.1087 of 2019 dated 14.07.2019 for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) IPC as against the four named persons and three unnamed persons. Since the respondent Police has not completed the investigation and has not filed a final report, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, 2/4

the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.1087 of 2019 dated 14.07.2019 and for the same, investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks three months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the same, the respondent police is directed to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
