PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents to expedite the investigation in Crime No.750 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent and file Final Report within a time stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.C.M.Ganesan For R1 & R2 : Mr.R.M.Anbunithi Additional Public Prosecutor.
ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to expedite the investigation in Crime No.750 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent and file Final Report within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.750 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent herein, which is registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 448, 294 (b), 323, 506(i) IPC, on 04.10.2020. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of 10 months, no investigation has been taken so far.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that considering the facts and circumstances of the case, final report will be filed within two months.
4.Recording the undertaking given by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file Final Report within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
