This petition is filed to direct the second respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.1 of 2019 on the file of the second respondent police.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.1 of 2019, which was registered against the accused persons, for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 120(b) and 5 of Tamilnadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act 1997. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of three years, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) seeks six months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.
