ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct the mistake crept in the Transfer Certificate and in Mark Statement, based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2017. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has filed this writ petition on behalf her daughter as natural guardian. In the Transfer Certificate and Mark Sheets of her daughter - Pandiselvi, the name of the father is mentioned as Marikkarasu instead of Nagaraj, whereas all records indicate the name as Nagaraj. So, the petitioner in order to get the name corrected in the Transfer Certificate and Mark Sheet, sent a representation dated 21.08.2017 to the respondent. However, till date no order has been passed on the representation of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner having no other option, has come before this Court, seeking appropriate direction to the respondents.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the application of the petitioner would be considered on merits, within the time stipulated. 4.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought, this Court, directs the fifth respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner to correct the name in the Transfer Certificate, upon production of her daughter's birth certificate issued by the competent authority and on such production, if found fit, issue a fresh Transfer Certificate, after mentioning the correct name, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the petitioner to approach the competent authority, in respect of correction of name in the mark statements.
