PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 7 to interrogate about the suppression of Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No.25 part 6, dated 02.06.1980 under which the Thevar Educational Society having Registration number 43/1969 was declared as defunct and consequent usurpation of both movable and immovable properties of the said society and UGC and Government grants by the new Thevar Educational Society having Registration number 78/1971, the 8th respondent herein and to take appropriate legal action against the present management of the 8th and 9th respondents and to restore Thevar Educational Society having Registration number 43/1969 within a stipulated time limit.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing in the last occasion, this Court was not convinced with the case of the petitioner and therefore, this Court gave two options to the petitioner, either to dismiss the petition as withdrawn or to dismiss the petition on merits, with costs. Thereafter, the learned Counsel for the petitioner took time to get instructions from his client.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner sought permission to withdraw the petition and has also filed a memo dated 05.11.2020, in this regard.

3. In view of the representation made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the memo dated 05.11.2020, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
