(Respondent No.4 is suo motu impleaded vide Court Order dated 09.06.2023 inW.P.(MD).No.13506 of 2023) PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the temple festival in Sri Sadachi Amman, Sri Oorkavala Ayyan situated at Nasar Puliyankulam, Mustakurichi Panchayat, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District, under their supervision, on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 30.05.2023. 1/4

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to permit the petitioner to conduct the temple festival in Sri Sadachi Amman, Sri Oorkavala Ayyan situated at Nasar Puliyankulam, Mustakurichi Panchayat, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District on 09.06.2023 to 11.06.2023 on the basis of a representation given by the petitioner on 30.05.2023.

2. During the pendency of this petition, as per the directions of this Court, respondent No.4, the rival party to the petitioner is impleaded and he is being represented by Mr.Karthigaivel, Advocate. Now, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned counsel for respondent No.4 jointly submitted that both of them intend to perform the festival together along with all the villagers. Respondent No.4 has no objections, in case, if permission is granted for conducting the festival.

3. This Writ Petition is, therefore, disposed of, by directing the petitioner and the fourth respondent to jointly approach the respondent Police, 2/4

on which, the respondent Police are directed to consider the same and grant permission by following the guidelines of the police vide proceedings in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 and by imposing conditions in respect of the festival, which is scheduled to be conducted on 21.07.2023 to 23.07.2023. No costs.
