This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to convert the classification of land from surplus into patta land and consequently direct the fourth respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner as per the order of this Honble court in W.P.(MD) Nos. 9835 to 9838 and 10026 to 10032 and 10035 of 2014 dated 07.07.2014.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, submits that the petitioners' representation dated 14.05.2024 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.05.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The respondents are further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. There shall be no order as to costs.
