ORDER
The petitioners are the accused in Crime No.37 of 2024 on the file of the 2nd respondent Police. The said case was registered for the offence under Sections 498A and 306 IPC r/w. Section 3(2)(v) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Therefore, the petitioners have moved this petition seeking a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge, (PCR Court), Virudhunagar District at Srivilliputhur, to consider their bail petitions on the date of surrender.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the deceased is the daughter of the defacto complainant and she was married to the first petitioner and due to their wedlock, a female child was born to them. The allegation against the petitioners is that the accused persons harassed the deceased and 2/4
drove her out of the matrimonial home. Therefore, she committed suicide by hanging.
3. Considering the nature of allegations, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for in this petition.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
