Seeking to quash the final report in C.C.No.117 of 2021 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court (Magisterial Level), Srivilliputhur, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed.

2. There is no representation for the petitioners.

3. Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent police would contend that originally, the final report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.2, Srivilliputhur in C.C.No.282 of 2019 and the case was subsequently transferred to the Additional Mahila Court (Magisterial Level), Srivilliputhur and re-numbered as C.C.No.117 of 2020. However, in the prayer of the present Criminal Original Petition, C.C.No. has been wrongly mentioned as C.C.No.117 of 2021 instead of C.C.No.117 of 2020.

4. He would further contend that the said case in C.C.No.117 of 2020 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court (Magisterial Level), Page No. 2 of 4

Srivilliputhur ended in acquittal on 27.05.2022 and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication.

5. Recording the said submission, the present Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
