O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to provide Municipal Water Connection to the petitioner's House Situated in Door Nos. 126/2 and 423/2 at Suriya Garden, Government Hospital Opposite, Dharapuram Road, Oddanchathiram, Dindigul District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioners is that though they had deposited the required amount for providing water connection to their newly constructed house and the respondent has also passed a favourable order in that regard, no water service connection has been provided till now. The petitioners have submitted a representation dated 15.09.2017 to the respondent for speedy action and since there was no action taken on the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that it would suffice for the petitioners, if the representation dated 15.09.2017 of the petitioners is considered by the respondent and appropriate orders passed thereon.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would represent that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondent, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders passed.

6. In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 15.09.2017 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

7. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
