PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the merit of the petitioner at 1st place for Teakwondo discipline after I and II level selection tests and the petitioner's participation in Level-III Selection Test held on 02.03.2023 and appoint the petitioner as Coach in the remaining one vacant post of Coach in the discipline of Taekwondo, advertised for recruitment in Notification No.10730/HR1/2022, dated 12.12.2022 of the first respondent on par with those declared selected in the Notification dated 03.03.2023 and grant the service and monetary benefits, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court. This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the merit of the petitioner at 1st place for Teakwondo discipline after I and II level selection tests and the

petitioner's participation in Level-III Selection Test held on 02.03.2023 and appoint the petitioner as Coach in the remaining one vacant post of Coach in the discipline of Taekwondo, advertised for recruitment in Notification No.10730/HR1/2022, dated 12.12.2022 of the first respondent on par with those declared selected in the Notification dated 03.03.2023 and grant the service and monetary benefits.

2. When the matter was taken up for consideration today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner was selected under the subsequent notification vide proceedings in Notification No.544573/HR-1A/2025, dated 05.01.2026.

3. In view of the above, the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
