O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to quash the order of the respondent, intimating rejection of his Application No.A31707984. The petitioner also sought a direction to the respondent to permit the petitioner to attend the counselling to be held on 13.10.2017 or 14.10.2017 and allot one seat in any of the Government Law colleges in Tamil Nadu.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he studied 10th Standard in Rosammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Thoothukudi, which was merged with another school and in the mark statement issued by the school, it was wrongly mentioned as "private" instead of mentioning the name of the school. Though he was found eligible for attending the counselling under BC https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

category, pursuant to non production of his Transfer Certificate of Rosammal Higher Secondary School, which was handed over to the Government Polytechnic, Thoothukudi for joining the Diploma Course, his candidature was rejected through online, which is impugned herein.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had secured his transfer certificate from his native school and placed a copy of the same before this Court with a copy to the learned counsel for the respondent.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent, upon receipt of the same, would contend that the petitioner be directed to furnish the same to the respondent on or before 03.11.2017 and after its perusal, the case of the petitioner will be considered on merits by the respondent.

5. In view of the above submission, this petition is disposed of, leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the respondent along with the present transfer certificate and other connected materials thereto and on his appearance and production of relevant documents, the same shall be considered and necessary orders passed on merits and in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
