O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to conduct Public Election through secret voting system for Madurai, South Gate Mohaideen Andavar Ancient Dharga & Pallivasal and South Veli Street Mina Noordeen Ancient Dharga & Pallivasal by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent on either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner, narrating the malpractices being committed by the Office bearers of the present administration, whose tenure already ended in the month of September, 2017, has submitted a representation dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

03.09.2017 to the respondents, urging them to conduct elections for the Ancient Dhargas stated supra. Since the same has not been acted upon so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondents, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders passed.

5. In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due notice to the petitioner as well as other interested parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
