When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate would submit that on the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.01.2017, permission has already been granted to the petitioner. He also produced a xerox copy of the letter dated 05.02.2017, submitted by the Inspector of Police, Thiruvattar Police Station, Kanniyakumari District, addressed to the learned Government Advocate, to that effect. Hence, the prayer sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.
