ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide water re-connection to his house property, based on his representation dated 16.08.2017.
2. The case of the petitioner is that though he had deposited the caution deposit and remitted the water charges regularly, the second respondent had disconnected the drinking water connection to his house. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has submitted a representation before the second respondent dated 16.08.2017, to restore the drinking water connection to his house. As the same is kept pending, without any action, the petitioner is before this Court, seeking the aforesaid relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer to the effect that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the respondents, on merits, within a stipulated time limit.
4. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent. There was no representation for the second respondent, despite notice was ordered.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited scope of relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.08.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other interested parties, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
