O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2017.

2. Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the third respondent granted licence vide No.10/2003 to the petitioner for selling Fire Crackers in retail shop at 10-6-60, Big Bazar Street, Thiruppattur, Sivagangai District in 2003. The same was also renewed till 31.03.2018 and he had paid the renewal fee to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

concerned authorities. During the Diwali Festival some unauthorized persons without any valid licence used to sell the crackers on retail basis on the platform near Gandhi Statue, Big Bazar Street, Thiruppattur. Because of that, the licence holders would be severely affected. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 04.10.2017 requesting them to prevent the non-licence holder from selling crackers and to take action against them and pursuant to the inaction on the part of the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed for the relief as stated supra.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders thereon, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.
