ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 417, 354 A IPC r/w Section 4 of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.183 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and the defacto complainant loved each other and by giving false promise of marriage, the petitioner had physical relationship with the victim. Thereafter, the petitioner refused to marry her. Hence, the case. 3.Heard both sides and perused the materials available in the record.

4.It is seen that the petitioner fell in love with the victim, who is aged about 21 years. On the pretext of marriage, he had physical relationship with her. After getting job in Armed Reserve Police, he refused to marry the victim girl. The petitioner committed very serious and heinous offence as against the victim girl and as such, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD)No.10073 of 2023 bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
