ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to quash the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.64/fh.J.f./C.c/k.kh/2024, dated 23.06.2024, passed by the second respondent and consequently direct the second respondent to give permission and protection to perform the "Kiramiya Kalainigalchi" which is scheduled to be held on 26.06.2024 pertaining to the temple festival of "Kumbabishagam" in "Sree Adhi Sakthi Kaliamman Kovil", situated at North Street, Pudhuthamaraipatti, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District. 2.The petitioner is the Trustee of the Temple. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has approached the third respondent seeking permission to conduct "Kumbabishagam" as well as the "Kiramiya Kalainigalchi" and the same was forwarded to the second respondent. But the second respondent has granted permission only for conducting 2/4

"Kumbabishagam" alone. Challenging the same, the present petition is filed.

3.Considering the fact that the temple festival falls on 26.06.2024, the respondents Police are directed to consider the petitioner's representations and to pass suitable orders as expeditiously as possible.
