Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. One Prithivirajan was employed as Bill Clerk in the respondent Corporation. He passed away on 18.12.2021. The petitioner has applied for being appointed on compassionate ground.

3. The second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's request and pass an appropriate order on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent will not insist on obtaining No Objection Certificate from the petitioner's mother-in-law. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
