By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Counsel, takes notice for the respondent.
3. According to the petitioner, he purchased the residential house bearing Old No.6, New No.36, Pudur 7th Street, Madurai, from one Gurusamy and as such he is paying the house tax assessment regularly, whereas, the receipts for the same were issued in the name of the father of the previous owner. In order to rectify the same, the petitioner has submitted several representations and finally on 03.07.2017, but the same has failed to yield any results and hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
4.Though the prayer in this writ petition is for a larger relief, the learned counsel for the petitioner now confines his prayer to the effect that it would submit be suffice, if his representation dated 03.07.2017, is disposed of, by the respondent, as per law, within a stipulated time limit. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
