The petitioner is the accused in Crime No.192 of 2024 on the file of the 2nd respondent Police. The said case was registered for the offence under Sections 143, 448, 294(b), 323, 363, 506(i) and 379 IPC r/w. Section 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(Va) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the District Sessions Court cum PCR Cases, Karur District, to dispose of his bail application on the date of surrender.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the co-accused has filed a similar petition before this Court in Crl.O.P. (MD)No.6866 of 2024 and the same was allowed by this Court on 08.05.2024. Therefore, he prays this Court to grant similar relief to the petitioner.

Since the co-accused has already been granted relief by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6866 of 2024, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to surrender within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order before the District Sessions Court cum PCR cases, Karur District, which, in turn, is directed to entertain the bail application if any filed by the petitioner on the same day. The Public Prosecutor concerned is expected to be available in the Courts and the Public Prosecutor can very well get instructions with the available scientific modes.
