PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction the medical expenses for a sum of Rs.3,01,463/- paid in cash by the petitioner towards the treatment undergone in A.V.M.Hospital, Palayamkottai Road, Thoothukudi by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2022.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to sanction the medical expenses for a sum of Rs.3,01,463/- paid in cash by the petitioner towards the treatment undergone in A.V.M.Hospital, Palayamkottai Road, Thoothukudi, based on the representation, dated 25.05.2022 submitted by her.

2. Mrs.D.Farjana Ghousia, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and submits that the petitioner

appeared before the Medical Board on 08.07.2021. Earlier, she did not appear before the Medical Board on 01.07.2022. Her application is pending before the District Level Empower Committee. Once the application is processed, appropriate order would be passed.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.05.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as earliest as possible within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
