..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Hindu-Kattunayakkan Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate to the petitioner's daughter, namely, S.Selvarani on the basis of the application dated 03.10.2017 within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.

[Order of the Court was delivered by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Hindu-Kattunayakkan Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate to the petitioner's daughter, namely, S.Selvarani, on the basis of the application dated 03.10.2017.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to Hindu Kattunayakkan Community and he submitted an application to the second respondent seeking community certificate for his daughter. 3.It is further stated that the Village Administrative Officer and Revenue Assistant, Madurai West conducted an enquiry and also recommended for issuance of certificate to that effect. Since no action was taken, he sent an application on 03.10.2017. Despite the same, no reply has come from the respondents, hence, the present writ petition.

4.Heard Mr.V.Palanichamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 03.10.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
