2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that even though O.S.No.67 of 2017 on the file of the PDM, Nagercoil is pending between the writ petitioner and certain private parties ignoring the petitioner's objection, the respondents have given temporary electricity connection in favour of one Gopala Krishnan who is figuring as the first defendant in the suit. The petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents to consider his objections and effect disconnection.

3. The said Gopala Krishnan has not been impleaded before me. Therefore, behind the back of the said Gopala Krishnan, I am not inclined to pass any direction. However, I would make it clear that merely because temporary electricity connection was granted in favour of Gopala Krishnan, that would not in any way strengthen his case in the pending suit. The jurisdictional civil court will decide the issue based on the evidence adduced before it and it would not be swayed by the grant of electricity connection which was given during the pendency of the suit.

3. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 26.07.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No rmi 2/3
