By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, by proceedings dated 05.01.2017, he was granted temporary licence for running a mess in the respondent's hostel up to 04.07.2017 and thereafter, based on an oral agreement, his licence to run the same was extended up to May 2018. It is the further case of the petitioner that based on the said assurance, he was continuing his business, whereas, all of a sudden, the respondent has now instructed the petitioner to vacate the premises. Aggrieved over the same, he has submitted a representation, which failed to yield any result and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if his representation is disposed of by the respondent, in the manner known to law, within a stipulated time period, which is also agreed by the learned Additional Government Pleader.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief now sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
