O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to pay additional security deposit of Rs.40,21,988/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Twenty One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty Eight only) in 12 equal installments.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated that owing to demand recession in marketing the products, the usage of electricity had come down drastically. It is also stated that even the petitioner was also affected owing to various conditions consequent to the Covid-19 pandemic.

3. In view of all these facts, a request is placed before this Court that the additional security deposit demanded by the respondents may be permitted to be paid in equal monthly installments.

4. Heard Mr.J.Lawrance, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

5. There had been earlier directions issued by Courts permitting such request, and accordingly, the petitioner is permitted to pay the additional security deposit in 6 equal monthly installments to the respondent. The first monthly installment should be paid on or before 03.07.2023. The remaining five instalments should be paid within the next five succeeding months.

6. Granting such permission, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
