This Writ Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to grant appropriate permission and adequate police protection to the petitioner for providing Annathanam from 23.05.2025 at 7 pm to 1.00 am of 24.05.2025 in the Muthur Sri Muthukottai Muneeswarar Elai Makkal Mahal on the eve of the Vaikasi Festival of Muthur Sri Muthukotai Muneeswarar Temple, situating in Muthur, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the temple festival ended on 24.05.2025.
