ORDER

By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.

3. According to the petitioner the Government has announced a scheme aiming at the welfare of small and marginal farmers and as she was eligible for the said scheme, she applied before the respondent on 28.08.2017. Alleging that the petitioner has failed to submit the required documents along with her application, the same was kept pending without any action. It is her specific case that after obtaining certificate from the respondent, she has to submit the same before the Tamil Nadu Agriculture Department, so as to enroll her name in the said scheme. Due to the inaction on the part of the respondent, over her claim, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if the application/representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the respondent, in the manner known to law, within a stipulated time period, which is also agreed by the learned Additional Government https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Pleader.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief now sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
