The Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 528 BNSS, praying to extend the time by 15 days to comply with the orders passed by this Court dated 27.03.2025 made in Crl.OP.(MD)No.5672 of 2025.

Criminal Original petition have been filed under section 528 of BNSS to direct the Learned Principal and District Sessions Judge and Special Court for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes ( Prevention of Atrocities) act, 1989 (amended) 2015, Madurai to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for extension of time to comply with the orders passed by this Court in Crl.OP.(MD)No.5672 of 2025 dated 27.03.2025. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he surrendered along with the order passed by this Court. However, on that day the Presiding Officer was transferred. The petitioner has also issued advance notice dated 06.05.2025 to the defacto complainant and on that day also the Presiding Officer was not there. Therefore, the petitioner filed the present petition.

3.Being satisfied in the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition is ordered and the petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Special Court for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities)Act, 1989 (Amended 2015), Madurai within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
