This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 17.10.2012, pending on file of the respondents under form 2 under Clause 27 (2) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004, for supply of electricity.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.The case of the petitioner is that he is doing agricultural work in his land in S.F.No.531 to an extent of 5.57.5 hectares at Punchaikalakurichi village. He made an application to the respondents to get free electricity supply to irrigate his land. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer. 4.At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondents, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders will be passed. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 17.10.2012 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
