2.The petitioner seeks issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the Appeal Petition No.9481 of 2017 in S.No.70 on merits within a time frame. 3.The petitioner would state that he belongs to "Malai Vedan" Community, which is recognized as a Scheduled Tribe as per G.O.Ms.No.1564/SWD, dated 31.07.1985. He further claims that the Thasildar, Nilakottai issued a Community Certificate to the petitioner as well as his deceased father A.Natarajan, which were ratified by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul District. It is further stated that his brother N.Annakodi and his sons were also issued Community Certificate stating that they belong to 'Malai Vedan' Community.

4.Mr.S.Chandrasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul without perusing the entire records, rejecting the application filed by the petitioner for issuance of Community Certificate for his sons namely T.Hariharan and T.Thirukumaran. Aggrieved by the rejection order, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the respondent on 13.03.2017, but so far, the appeal is not disposed of, hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record. 6.Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to dispose the Appeal Petition No.9481 of 2017, dated 13.03.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
