Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents i.e., the Director of Handlooms & Textiles, Chennai and the Assistant Treasury Officer, Melur to arrange to disburse the pension amount as sanctioned by the Accountant General, Chennai in his order No.P12/1/11217026/ PPO R1/216391, dated 18.07.2017 without further loss of time, failing which the petitioner is entitled to 18% interest as per the dictum of the Hon'ble Supreme Court within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents i.e., the Director of Handlooms & Textiles, Chennai and the Assistant Treasury Officer, Melur to arrange to disburse the pension amount as sanctioned by the Accountant General, Chennai in his order No.P12/1/11217026/ PPO R1/216391, dated 18.07.2017 without further loss of time, failing which to grant 18% interest as per the dictum of the Hon'ble Supreme Court within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
