ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to act upon the application made by the petitioner, who is seeking for Patta in his name with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.G.Chandrasekar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.R.Ragavendran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3. The petitioner is claiming right over the subject property pursuant to a compromise decree passed in O.S.No.102 of 1985. According to the petitioner, he made an application seeking for Patta before the third respondent and an enquiry was also conducted by the fourth respondent in this regard and he has forwarded his recommendation for issuance of Patta, through proceedings dated 25.06.2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that 2/5
the third respondent did not act upon the application and left with no other option, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner and to take into consideration the proceedings of the fourth respondent, dated 25.06.2019 and pass final orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. This procedure shall be adopted, if the application submitted by the petitioner has not already been dealt with by the third respondent.
