Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 herein to take suitable action in respect of allowing the Petitioner to participate in the Arulmigu Muppidathi Amman temple festival situated at Nagaram Revenue Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District scheduled to be conducted on 12.07.2022 by way of collecting tax, on the basis of the petitioners complaint and representation dated 27.06.2022 and 05.07.2022 respectively. This Writ Petition has been filed by the writ petitioner, seeking for Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 herein to take suitable action in respect of allowing the Petitioner to participate in the Arulmigu 2/5
Muppidathi Amman temple festival situated at Nagaram Revenue Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District scheduled to be conducted on 12.07.2022 by way of collecting tax, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint and representation dated 27.06.2022 and 05.07.2022 respectively.
2. The learned learned Additional Government Pleader for the first and fifth respondents submitted that on 12.07.2022, a Peace Committee Meeting was conducted by the Tahsildar and he permitted all the parties to worship the deity in the temple and the parties have also agreed to worship their deity in a peaceful manner and conduct the function and thereafter, they decided the right of the parties with regard to the rival claim. Therefore, the parties have agreed to worship their deity peacefully in the temple.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after completion of temple festival, Peace Committee Meeting may be convened in some other day.
