PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in Na.Ka.A5/7051/2023, dated 13.05.2025 (served only on 21.05.2025) issued under Section 6 of Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act 1905 on the file of the 2nd respondent with respect to the Government Natham land in Survey No.571/17 (in an extent of 4 cents out of 32 cents) West Usilankulam Village, Pulavikulam 1/4

Group, Muthugulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and quash the same as illegal.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the appellate authority, namely, District Collector, Ramanathapuram District / 1st respondent has disposed of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that as against the order passed by the 1st respondent, revision petition has been preferred. 3.That being so, the petitioner is at liberty to raise all the grounds before the revisional authority in the manner known to law. Since the appellate authority 2/4

disposed of the statutory appeal, the cause of action arose for the purpose of filing this Writ Petition became vanished. Thus, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
