This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent either to release the petitioner's land or determine and pay compensation in respect of the land acquired in Survey No.316, Perungudi Village, Block VIII, Madurai in accordance with the Right to Fair compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2017. 2.The case of the petitioner is that her land in Survey No.316, Perungudi Village, Block VIII, Madurai, to the extent of 8 cents and 172 square feet was acquired for the purpose of expansion of Madurai airport. However, till date, compensation in respect of such acquisition has not been granted. Hence, she has given a representation dated 27.09.2017 to the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondents, representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders will be passed. 5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.09.2017 in line with the Right to Fair compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner.
6.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
