Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C directing the first and second respondents herein to provide adequate Police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of the representation dated 05.07.2022 given by the petitioner.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents herein to provide adequate Police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2022.
2. The facts of the case are that the petitioner went to visit her land along with her sister's son in the bike. The third respondent who is working as Junior Clerk at Peravoorani insist his fried to kill the petitioner. While so, the third respondent's friend kicked the bike and made her fell down and attempted to kill the petitioner. The petitioner was sustained with grievous injuries and she was admitted in the Hospital. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint and F.I.R. was registered in Crime No.431 of 2022 for offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) IPC. While she was admitted in the Government Hospital, some unknown persons came to the hospital and they threatened the petitioner to withdraw the complaint and they also gave a life threat to the petitioner and her family. The third respondent keep on harassing the petitioner and her husband continuously. Having no other way, the petitioner preferred a representation dated 05.07.2022 to the respondents Police, seeking for 2/5
protection. Since, no action was taken, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that a case has been registered in Crime No.431 of 2022 dated 25.06.2022 for offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) IPC. and they also received the representation dated 05.07.2022 given by the petitioner. He further submits that now, they are ready to provide protection.
5. Recording the same, this Court directs the second respondent to provide sufficient protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2022 and take suitable action on merits within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
