O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to initiate appropriate action for illegally excommunicating the petitioner and permit the petitioner and others to live peacefully in Pouloor Village, Dindigul District by considering the representation dated 06.10.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The case of the petition is that the petitioner is residing at Kuppayevalasu Village. There are 100 families residing

in the aforesaid village. There was a dispute regarding conduct of the temple festival of Kaliamman Koil for the past 30 years, for which two groups created a problem. Therefore, the second respondent conducted a peace committee meeting and decided to excommunicate the petitioner's family along with 20 other families. Aggrieved by the same the petitioner made a representation to the revenue authority namely, second respondent to take appropriate action against the village panchayathaar. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner restricts his claim and submit that it would suffice to issue a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 06.10.2007.

5.considering the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to dispose of the matter by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above directions this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
