ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct enquiry and take appropriate action including necessary disciplinary proceedings against the respondents 7 to 10, by considering the representation dated 18.10.2020 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law, within a time frame. 2.

The grievance of the petitioner is that on 18.10.2020 early morning at 04.30 a.m., on the instructions of the respondents 7 to 10, some male and female police officials trespassed into her house without any permission and abused the female members in the house in filthy language and caused harassment. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 18.10.2020 to the respondents 1 to 6 to initiate disciplinary action against the respondents 7 to 10 and to prevent them from harassing the petitioner and her family members. Since no order has been passed thereon, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the 6th respondent will dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 18.10.2020, within a time frame.

Recording the above submission and without going into the merits of the allegation raised by the petitioner, this Court directs the 6th respondent / Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.10.2020 and take appropriate action, if ultimately the allegation is found to be true.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
