Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta in petitioner favour in respect of the house property situated in Survey No.91/6, in Door No.2/230, Uthangudi Village, Madurai District, to an extent of 877 Sq. Ft, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2026, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to issue patta in petitioner favour in respect of the house property situated in Survey No.91/6, in Door No.2/230, Uthangudi Village, Madurai District, to an extent of 877 Sq. Ft, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2026, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

2.The petitioner is claiming right over the property situated in Survey No.91/6 Door No.2/230, Uthangudi Village, Madurai District, based on the unregistered sale deed. Since it is an unregistered sale deed, the petitioner ought to prove his long possession. 3.Therefore, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits is directing the official respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.03.2026 and pass orders in accordance to law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
