ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the impugned refusal check slip dated 20.04.2026.

2.Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records, it can be seen that when the petitioner has declared as a particular value in the sale deed, the commensurate stamp duty as well as the registration charges were not paid and therefore, the document is refused to be registered.

3.When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would re-present the document by paying the deficit stamp duty and registration charges. 4.In view of the said submissions, the writ petition is disposed on the following terms:

(i)The impugned refusal check slip dated 20.04.2026 shall stand set aside.

(ii)It will be open for the petitioner to re-present the document along with the web copy of the order by duly paying the deficit stamp duty and registration charges as declared by him in the sale deed.

(iii)Upon such payment, the document can be processed for registration. Even if the Sub-Registrar is of the opinion that the document is undervalued, the document still has to be registered and to be referred under Section 47-A of the Act.

(iv)No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
