Respondents PRAYER : Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, or any other appropriate writ, writs, direction or directions in the nature of a writ directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce the petitioner's minor daughter Uma maheswari aged about 17 year before this Hon'ble Court from the custody of the 3rd respondent and handover to the petitioner herein.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by V. BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. Alleging that the petitioner's daughter by name Uma Maheswari, aged about 17 years, was found missing from 10.08.2021, the petitioner said to have given a complaint before the second respondent police on 10.08.2021. Though an F.I.R has been registered in Crime No.278 of 2021, so far no action has been taken by the second respondent police to secure the detenue. Hence, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.S.Ravi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State, on instructions would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD).No.1206 of 2021 the second respondent police has registered an F.I.R. in Crime No.278 of 2021 and the detenue has been secured and on the request of the petitioner/mother of the detenue, the minor girl, has been kept in Muthukuvial Welfare Home, Thoothukudi.

3. Recording the said submission, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
