ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to file the final report before the Court in Crime No.524 of 2017 within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he has given a complaint for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 427, 506(ii) I.P.C and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Based on the above said complaint, a case has been registered by the second respondent police in Crime No.524 of 2017. Even though, the case was registered in the month of May 2017, investigation has not yet been completed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, submitted that the respondent police has commenced the investigation and he will complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of one month before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of one month, from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
