O R D E R

It is not in dispute that the petitioner was granted permanent status with effect from 18.10.2002 and has already retired from service, having attained the age of superannuation on 31.03.2020. However, his terminal benefits have not been settled till date.

2.The only reason put forth by the respondents is that a review application against W.A.(MD).No.1598 of 2024 is pending consideration. Except for the said review application, the grant of permanent status to the petitioner with effect from 18.10.2002 has attained finality. Therefore, it is no longer open to the respondents to withhold the terminal benefits payable to the petitioner.

3.In these circumstances, pending further orders, the respondents are directed to release the gratuity and leave salary amounts due and payable to the petitioner, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
