Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd respondent to register the case against the proposed accused based on the direction given by the learned Judicial Magistrate II, Ramanathapuram in Crl.MP.No.672/2024 dated, 15.03.2024 within a stipulated time.

The petitioner with a grievance that the respondent police has not acted upon his complaint even after the direction of the learned Magistrate, has filed this petition.

2.Today(28.06.2024), when this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that after due enquiry on the petitioner's complaint, they have found that the complaint is false and they have submitted a closure report on 13.05.2024. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to furnish a copy of the closure report to the petitioner enabling him to file a protest petition, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if he is aggrieved.
