O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to issue fresh patta in his favour in respect of the land in Survey No. 124/3, with an extent of 3 cents in Kodangipatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, as per the Sale deed in Document No.66/2007 dated 11.01.2007, by considering his representation dated 08.05.2025.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.M.Suresh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he purchased 3 cents of land in the above mentioned survey number under a registered sale deed dated 11.01.2007. However, the respondents issued patta only for an extent of 2.47 cents instead of 3 cents mentioned in his title document. Therefore, 2/4

the petitioner submitted a representation on 08.05.2025, seeking issuance of patta for 3 cents. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered on its own merits, within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
